How you can experience the hope of Jesus in desperate times. 1. Bring your needs to Jesus. (John 4:47-49) Desperation drove the man to seek after Jesus. The man fully relied on the mercy of Jesus. Psalm 31:14-15 a. Place your trust in God by remembering He is your God. b. Know the course of your life is in His hands. c. He will rescue you! Desperation leads to belief, resulting in hope.
Overcoming Guilt And Shame Psalm 103:8-14
What the Bible says about overcoming guilt and shame. 1. God’s grace is greater than your guilt and shame. (Psalm 103:8-10) Grace-God’s unearned and undeserved favor. God is gracious and compassionate. (Psalm 103:8) God is faithful. (Psalm 103:8) Continuing to carry around guilt and shame will keep us from experiencing God’s goodness in our lives: We will not experience how He answers our prayers. We will not experience how He protects us every day. We will not allow Him to guide us every step of the way throughout our lives. God is just. (Psalm 103:9-10) John 8:3-11

Living a life that brings God glory. 1. Jesus recognized His mission was to glorify God. Glorify-To give to God honor and praise Jesus was fully committed to glorifying His Heavenly Father. Jesus glorified God by making Him known. Everything Jesus did was directed by His relationship with His Heavenly Father.
